Katherine Hughes is a recent graduate from the BA(Hons) Illustration course in Falmouth University, currently based in Exeter in the United Kingdom. Mainly working with monotype with digital overlays to create surreal, conceptual, and atmospheric work, her time at university has pushed her interest towards themes such as mental health, human experience, the human soul, and sci-fi themes such as space and Transhumanism, championing a connection with the natural world and the sea to connect us back to our human roots and away from a digital age where humans may be trapped by technology. She mainly explores these interests through sequential art, book covers, posters, and stand-alone artworks.
